MARGIELYN DIDAL’S HYPE ATTRACTS TOKYO!

Margielyn Arda Didal (born April 19, 1999) is a Filipino professional street skateboarder who rose to fame.


TAGAYTAY, Philippines

Philippine skate champion, Margielyn Didal won her first gold medal at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games after playing the S.K.A.T.E. Didal showed an impeccable performance and prevailed incthe trick competition of Filipino figure skater Christina Means.


Many people admire Margielyn’s “mala Pilipino” style who even though she loses, she smiles and keeps laughing.


Every time players fail to duplicate a trick; they are sequentially designated a letter in the word “skate”.

The first to complete the word — or miss an execution five times, loses.



Daniel Ledermann, a US-raised showed champion Filipino skateboarder like Means, finished first on the men’s side after he beat a 12-year-old from Indonesia.


To advance to the finals, Didal and Means defeated their Indonesian opponents on Wednesday.


In the meantime, Didal goes for a second gold medal when she competes in the street event at Tagaytay City Extreme Sports Complex on Saturday, while Means competes in street and park with an eye on her first gold. When she competed in the X Games Minneapolis 2018 and won a Gold Medal in the 2017 Asian Games
