Blaster Silonga had officially gone solo with his debut single, Disko Forever
On Thursday – September 11, Blaster Silonga former guitarist of IV of Spades released a solo single in all digital streaming platforms with his new record label Island Records Philippines.
Prior to the track’s release on Spotify and all other digital streaming platforms, Blaster Silonga, together with The Celestial Klowns released a music video of Disko Forever on his birthdate, this came with the announcement that he has signed with Island Records Philippines.
After the band IV of Spades announced that they had decided to go on a hiatus on August of 2020, its two members, Blaster and Badjao has been taking a break while Zild Benitez continued his path alone.
Despite the separation, IV of Spade’s sound signature is still evident in Blaster’s single. Punchy guitar leads, funk basslines and groovy drum rhythm are still the main foundation of his new released music with a touch of disco. Its music video also gives IV of Spades vibe, as it still carries on the vintage theme the band was known for.
Blaster, now a singer-song writer wakes his fan’s spirit with his Japanese single next to Zild’s second released album “Huminga”. Now, the fans are just waiting for what Badjao has to offer after the band’s separation
