On October 10, 2021, younger sister of Alodia Gosiengfiao, fellow cosplayer, musician, and gaming celebrity, Ashley Gosiengfiao posted a tarot reading on Twitter and Facebook with the caption “What would happen to our country if Isko, Leni, BBM, Pacquiao, or Bato were to become president, according to the Tarot?”
Due to popular demand, an update followed which included the predictions for Ping Lacson and online sensation, Rastaman.
As we all know the internet is full of sensitive souls that is why she explained beforehand that this should not be taken literally as this was just for fun. Ashley also said that she bore no ill intentions towards any of the candidates and that tarot readings are not “set on stone.”
Her predictions received mixed reactions as some netizens, even fellow tarot readers, were triggered by the results due to Vice President Leni Robredo receiving a fortunate forecast while the other candidates showed bad cards that represented their agenda. Comically, Rastaman cards showed promise and hope for the country.
Ashley explained to the critics that every reader has a different intuitive interpretation of the cards and that the consciousness of the tarot knows how the reader will interpret these.
